Woodinville Police receive grant for children's safety
The City of Woodinville Police Department received a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission that allows extra money for police patrol in the areas of Leota Jr. High and Woodinville High School during the first weeks of school.
The purpose of this grant is to protect the lives of children returning to school this fall. Police will be actively patroling school zone speed limits, seatbelt/child restraint use and other school related traffic problems.
