Teens arrested in home break-in

BOTHELL -- On Wednesday, Sept. 6, at approximtely 10:13 a.m. two Bothell teens were arrested by officers for residential burglary as they attempted to flee, on foot, out the back of a Canyon Park home.
An observant neighbor saw the brothers, ages 14 and 12, enter a home located in the 1900 block of 232nd Pl. SE, Bothell, through a garage door.
Police discovered evidence on the teens at the time of their arrest.
Both teens were booked into the Snohomish County Youth Center in Everett.
The witness recognized the teen subjects because their family had recently moved into the neighborhood. The witness became suspicious of their activity when the two entered the house on their street.
The witness knew at the time that no one was home and called the police.
Officers had already arrived and were closely monitoring the home when the two subjects suddenly ran out the back to make an escape. Officers were able to capture the two after a brief foot chase.
The case has been turned over to the Juvenile Section of the Snohomish County Prosecutor's office.
