Sims proclaims September
'Voter Registration Month'King County Executive Ron Sims today proclaimed September "Voter Registration Month" in King County and pledged an aggressive effort to register King County residents to vote-particularly minorities, young people and others who have traditionally had a lower turnout.
The deadline for mail-in registration for the November election is October 7th. you can pick up a registration form at the following locations:
King County Records & Elections Division (500 4th Avenue, Room 553, Seattle); all King County City and Town Clerks; King County and Seattle Community Service Centers; all branch public libraries; all public schools; fire stations in Bellevue, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Seattle, Tukwila, Southcenter, and the Redmond and Renton areas; League of Women Voters - Washington (206) 622-8961; Seattle (206) 329-4848.
To have a voter registration application sent to a residence, fill out an on-line request form, at http://www.secstate.wa.gov/voting/regform/htm. Please note that registration forms cannot be e-mailed.
The deadline for walk-in registration is October 23rd. King County residents can register in person at the Division of Records and Elections, located at 500 - 4th Avenue, Room 553 in Seattle.
