UW's Tui too much for 'Canes

Marques Tuiasosopo (WHS, '97), now the starting quarterback for the University of Washington, led the Huskies to a 34-29 victory over #4 ranked Miami Hurricanes last Saturday.
Marques had 268 yards of total offense. His 18 completions in 31 attempts, including one for a touchdown, made the effort his 11th 200-yard plus passing performance of his career. This puts him only one game behind Sonny Sixkiller, the current Husky leader with 12. Tuiasosopo did all this with a receiving cast that was missing both speed and experience.
Tui also ran for 45 yards including a 12-yard touchdown run that capped a nine play, 80 yard drive that featured a 36 yard pass with no incompletions thrown.
His efforts against the highly regarded Miami defensive unit should help Tuiasosopo's effort in the Heisman trophy race. It at least earned him Player of the Day honors.
