Children's Services garage sale
Find treasures for the whole family at the first annual Children's Services of Sno-Valley Consignment/Garage Sale, Saturday, Sept. 16, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Duvall Family Center, 15904 Main St., Duvall (corner of SR-203 and Woodinville-Duvall Road).
Pie bakers needed
Baked pies are needed for the second annual Sno-Valley Senior Center's pie auction to be held in conjunction with the Sno-Valley Senior Steak Dinner Oct. 14. Donators of pies should contact Dawn at 333-4101 or 333-4747.
Pony baseball tryouts

Snoqualmie Watershed Forum
The Snoqualmie Watershed Forum will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 7 p.m. at the Mt. Si Senior Center in North Bend. The meeting will focus on finalizing a Draft Interlocal Agreement for cost-sharing of watershed planning. Tolt Historical Society launches 2000-01 program year
The Tolt Historical Society will begin its new program year with a brainstorming session on organizational goals and priorities. The meeting is set for Sept. 13, 7 p.m. in the Sno-Valley Senior Center, 4610 Stephens Ave., Carnation. A brief Show and Tell of historical artifacts and refreshments will precede the planning session. All THS members are encouraged to attend, and interested nonmembers are also welcome.
Toddler play groups forming
Toddlers and their caregivers can have lots of fun and meet new friends through the toddler play groups at Children's Services of Sno-Valley Duvall Family Center. Music, stories, play and art activities make up the one-hour group. Two groups meet on Tuesdays; 12-30-month-olds at 9:30 a.m.; 24-36-month-olds at 11 a.m., beginning Sept. 19. Indoor playground open
The playground at Duvall Family Center, geared for children age birth to five years old, is open most Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Parent volunteers are needed to donate one hour per month to greet parents and coordinate the setup and take-down of play equipment. The playground is located at 15904 Main St., Duvall, corner of SR-203 and Woodinville-Duvall Road. Call 425-788-7924.
Strengthening Families class
Learn to positively discipline your child, find out how to build a quality relationship with your child, learn problem solving skills, understand anger, learn to cope with challenges and celebrate the joys. "Strengthening Families," a free 8-week parenting class, starts Wednesday, Sept. 20, 6:30-8:30 p.m., offered by Children's Services of Sno-Valley at Duvall Family Center, corner of SR-203 and Woodinville-Duvall Rd. Recycling collection/refrigerator roundup
The last 2000 Special Recycling Collection Day in the Snoqualmie Valley will be Saturday, Sept. 16 at Mt. Si High School gymnasium parking lot from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents may drop off scrap metal, refrigerators and freezers, tires, car and truck batteries, used motor oil and filters, antifreeze, household goods, plastic plant pots and styrofoam. For questions, call the recycling coordinator at 788-1185 before loading.
Barbie 2000 exhibition
