Senior information night set
Cedarcrest parents and senior students are invited to attend an information meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 6-7 p.m., prior to the open house.
Career Specialist Debbie Gilmore and counselors Barbara MacKenzie and Anthony Smith will review the four-year college application process. Students are urged to apply early this year to four-year colleges and this year's deadlines for all colleges will be available on that evening for students and families.
All graduating seniors need to think about the post-secondary choices available to them to develop the high-tech and job skills needed to succeed in life. This presentation will also highlight other types of post-secondary occupational preparation available. Programs at art schools, technical colleges, community colleges and other specialized institutions and the application process required for entrance into these types of programs will be available.
A schedule of the important dates for workshops on financial aid and scholarships will also be handed out and discussed that evening. Application forms for the October testing dates for the SAT and the ACT will be available to students at this time.
