Woodinville Wine Festival & Art Walk
The 2000 Woodinville Wine Festival & Art Walk will be held this Saturday, Sept. 16, from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Chateau Ste. Michelle amphitheater in Woodinville.
The festival, a free community event, is presented each year by the Greater Woodinville Community Roundtable.
There will be tastings of more than 60 Northwest wines available, as well as bottle sales. The dau's events will feature lively entertainment, fine art displays under the white tents, specialty food booths with gourmet food from Lowell-Hunt Catering.
The Woodinville Community Band will start the day's entertainment schedule with a performance at 11:30 a.m., followed by Fatherly Advice barbershop quartet at 12:45, Uptown Lowdown Jazz at 2 p.m., Greg Parke vocal and guitar at 3:15 p.m. and jazz pianist David Templeton at 4:30 p.m.
Wine tastings are available with the purchase of scrip at $1 each. Visitors can also purchase bottles to take home. Northwest wineries attending include Apex, Bridgman Cellars, Cascade Ridge, Cayuse Vineyards, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Chatter Creek Winery, Columbia Winery. Covey Run, DeLille Cellars, E. B. Foote Winery, Facelli Winery, Hogue Cellars, Hoodsport Winery, Horizon Winery, Kestrel Vinters, Kiona Vineyards, Millennium, Thomas Winery, Preston Premium Wines, Sagelands. Silverlake Winery, Sky River Mead, Snoqualmie Vineyards, Ste. Chapelle Winery, Washington Hills Cellars, Waterbrook, Whidbey Island Winery and Wilridge Winery. Bert Grant's Real Ales will also be available.
Artists attending include Garden Art Workshop, Under Sea Visions, Strickland Fine Arts, Original Nais Paintings, Miniature and Treasure Boxes, Nicholas Kirsten-Honshin Gallery, Merrijane Morrison Jeweler, Ellen Williams Photography, Bent Light Lanterns, Mary Brant, Leslie Rohacek, Jude G'S Photos, Blue Planet Photography Moonspace Studios, Sophiana, Stems, Gone to Seed, Paintings by Bergsma, Bee Keepers Secret, Paper Zone, and many more. The festival is sponsored by Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Winery, Mackie Designs, Inc., Kirkland Chrysler Jeep Plymouth, Stallion Hill - Synergy Construction, Inc. - Windermere Northeast, Top Shelf Custom Cabinets, LaValle Printing and The Woodinville Weekly. Proceeds from festival will benefit HopeLink (formerly the Multi-Service Center).
