Family concert and raffle at Remlinger Farms

Remlinger Farms will be kicking off their 27th Harvest Festival with an October 1 concert featuring the Northwest's legendary band‹The Kingsmen.
   Opening for the Kingsmen will be Los Orchids (Ned Neltner of Jr. Cadillac) with the Valley Girrrls, Tolt Middle School Band and local talent Diana Jetter. A raffle will be held during the concert. Winners must be present.
   The Kingsmen will be headlining the concert which begins at 1 p.m. The Tolt Middle School Band, led by Ms. Werth, will perform Louie, Louie.
   The Kingsmen, America's favorite party band and all-time favorite song...Louie, Louie, has sold more than 20 million records worldwide.
   The festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Remlinger's Family Park's Land of Orange is filled with exciting things to do, such as the authentic steam train ride around the park, the new Titanic giant slide, Pirate Adventure and not so scary house, new pumpkin go-round ride, 2-Moon walk-bounce rides, pony rides, roller coaster, petting farm, the Marionette Show, Hay Maze, Carousel, Iron Man Challenge and more.
   Harvest decorations galore will be for sale and this year's new adventure‹the spooky wagon ride­ is set for Friday and Saturday nights from 6-9 p.m.
   Valley connections include: Original member Barry Curtis of the Kingsmen has a daughter living in Duvall. Of Los Orchids & the Valley Girrrls, leader Ned Neltner (singer, songwriter & guitar) has a home with his wife in Preston, Barry (bass player & vocals) and Sally Kennelly (singer) both reside in their Carnation home and have lived in the Valley 12 years.
   Pat Tennis (lead guitar) and his wife Pam are both longtime residents of Carnation.
   Linda Johnson (singer) and her husband Tod and Monta Frost (singer) all live in Carnation with their families.
   Advance ticket prices include full day Harvest Festival admission, entry into the raffle and concert. Tickets are $12 adults, $5 child (0-12); families (two adults, two children) $34 plus one free child with coupon; seniors $7. Those who call now may have them mailed‹425-333-6800.
   Prices at the door are $15 adults, and $9 child or senior.
