Seattle Pops series opens Oct. 12-15
Famed composer and conductor Marvin Hamlisch will lead the Seattle Symphony in hits "From Hollywood to Broadway" in the Seattle Pops series opening performances October 12 through 15 at Benaroya Hall.
Hamlisch, known not only for his musicianship, but for his comedic style and panache, will perform on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m.; Oct. 13 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. The program will include selections from Marvin Hamlisch's many famous film and broadway scores.Single tickets for "From Hollywood to Broadway" or "Search for a Star," priced between $17 - 54, can be purchased by calling the Seattle Symphony Ticket Office at (206) 215-4747, faxing the Symphony at (206) 215-4748, ordering on-line at www.seattlesymphony.org, or visiting the Seattle Symphony Ticket Office in Benaroya Hall at 3rd Avenue & Union Street, Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. For group sales information, call (206) 215-4784.
