Church celebrates 35 years with songs, dinner

The Cottage Lake Assembly of God will celebrate its 35th anniversary Oct. 15 at the location where the church was established 35 years ago by the Rev. Ed Anderson.
The location has remained the same, but the church has operated under three different names.
It began its ministry as Cottage Brook Assembly of God in October, 1965.
In Feb. 1990, the name changed to Avondale Christian Center and on Jan. 1, 2000 the church was named Cottage Lake Assembly of God.
The congregation invites the community to an All-Day Singing and Dinner at the church.
The event begins with a 9 a.m. continental breakfast and concludes with a potluck lunch at 2 p.m. Guests will include former pastors and musical guests.
