Fire Department Explorer Post looking for new members

Duvall Fire Dept. Explorer Post #45 is in operation. This exciting new project is being headed by one of the local volunteer firefighters, Ken Taylor, the Post Advisor.
"There are already three young people from the community involved in the program and we are actively seeking more," said Taylor.
The program is open to youths ages 15 to 20 who are eager to learn exciting and useful skills related to the fire and emergency medical fields.
This program can help young people learn about the different career paths associated with the fire service and also provide opportunities for a lot of fun.
Opportunities will include educational activities, both locally and with other fire departments or agencies.
They will also help the community at special events, working with the fire and police departments.
The post will also participate with and compete with other posts.
As fire department Explorers, they will be expected to wear a uniform and train with fire equipment and learn first aid skills.
This is an excellent chance to learn more about a career. For more information, call 425-788-9317 and ask for Ken Taylor. Those iterested may also call Duvall-King County Fire District 45 at 425-788-1625.
