Pumpkin activities and CSA membership drive at Jubilee Farm

As October falls on the Snoqualmie Valley, Jubilee Farm is gearing up with a full slate of family Harvest Activities, as well as its annual Organic Produce Membership Drive.
   The activities occur each Saturday and Sunday until Oct. 31 and are free to the public.
   Lunch, pumpkins and organic produce may be purchased.
   Current members of Jubilee Farm's Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) will explain the program to those who are interested.
   Schedule of events: 11-5 Saturday and Sunday: Hayrides to the fields for u-pick pumpkins, gourds and winter squash; lunch and snacks available in the food concession area; farm market and u-pick flowers; kids hay maze; petting farm and self-guided walking tour of the farm.
   Special daily events: 12-4 draft horse exhibition and hay rides; 12-12:30 kids farm chores (meet on steps of barn); 1-3 produce cooking demonstration; 1-1:30 guided herb walk in the herbal "potager;" 2-2:30 farm tour with owner Erick Haakenson; 2-3 kids pumpkin craft activity; 3-3:30 kids farm chores.
   Jubilee Farm is located at 229 West Snoqualmie River Road NE, two miles south and one mile west of Carnation.
   From Carnation, turn right after crossing the Tolt River Bridge just south of town. After crossing the bridge over the Snoqualmie River, turn left on West Snoqualmie River Road NE and go approximately two miles.
   Jubilee Farm is a certified organic farm that produces organic vegetables, fruit and flowers for approximately 150 families.
