City of Bothell names new directors

Bothell has announced the hiring of Dave Zabell as Public Works Director. He has had more than 20 years of experience in municipal government with the City of Marysville where he was responsible for planning, coordinating, facilitating and managing all construction operations activities in the Public Works Department. Zabell is also heavily involved with community activities. He will report to the City Manager Jim Thompson via the Assistant City Manager and begins on Nov. 1st.
   Assistant City Manager Manny Ocampo has been interim Public Works Director since Feburary of this year. The Public Works Department oversees the maintenance of the City's vehicles, streets, storm drain, sewer and water utilities as well as oversees the sanitation and waste management contracts and the Parks and Recreation Division.
   The City also welcomes Deputy Finance Director Kathy Eagles. Eagles most recently comes to the City from McKesson Drug Company as an Accounting Manager. She will report to Finance Director Ilene Frisch and began on Oct. 2nd.
