The Northwest Railway Museum's Santa Train tickets are on sale now.
Thirty-two years of Santa Train excursions have created a holiday tradition for many Northwest families.
Santa Train tickets for Dec. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17 are available by Santa Train Hotline at (425) 888-2206 Thursday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., or at the Snoqualmie Depot, 38625 SE King Street, Thursday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Santa Train is the Northwest Railway Museum's annual fundraiser.
In three weekends, 9,000 guests enjoy a train ride to visit Santa, hot cocoa or coffee, and cookies baked in the coal-burning stoves of a restored railway kitchen car. Museum volunteers decorate the historic train and Victorian-era depot for the season, and Santa gives a gift to each child.
The two-hour event costs $9 per person for all participants 3 years old and above. Children under the age of three ride free.
Tickets must be purchased in advance. The event begins and ends at the North Bend Depot. Each date offers seven hourly train departures starting at 9 a.m.
Ticket availability is posted on the Northwest Railway Museum's website at www.trainmuseum.org.
Approximately one-forth of the tickets, including two entire trains, already have sold. All trains are expected to sell out by the end of October.
