Razor clam season opens Oct. 25
The fall recreational clam season is scheduled to open Oct. 25 at noon, pending the results of a final test for marine toxins. The one-day dig at Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis, Mocrocks and Kalaloch ocean beaches is the first of a series of clamming opportunites through December, announced by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). Diggers should check the Shellfish Hotline (360) 796-3215 and the Marine Toxin Hotline (1-800-562-5632), since all openingsdepend on the number of remaining clams for harvest and approval from the State Department of Health.
