Morris named "Thayer Women of the Year"


Helen Thayer (l.) was on hand to present ElizaBeth Morris with the "Helen Thayer Woman of the Year Award." Woodinville Business and Professional Women announced that ElizaBeth Morris is the recipient of the Helen Thayer Woman of the Year Award on Oct. 9. Named for Helen Thayer, the first woman to make a solo journey to the magnetic North Pole, the award is the group's highest honor. The recipient of this award is someone who has embodied the spirit of BPW and who contributes daily to the economic, civic and cultural betterment of our community through both personal and professional achievement.
   Morris is the Executive Assistant at Mentor Health Northwest, President of NOAH (Northwest Organization for Animal Help), Public Relations/Media Chair for WBPW, and serves as a volunteer for the Woodinville Repertory Theatre and Pathways for Women.
