Bothell reminds community to clean up
BOTHELL - The City of Bothell would like to remind its campaigners and local residents that all political campaign signs must be removed within 10 days after Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 7.
In an effort to encourage its community to clean up, the City asks that all political parties and their supporters retrace their steps and eliminate signage and any campaigning materials that were posted during the campaign.
"The City would like to see its landscape return to where it was before campaigning began," said Code Enforcement Officer Amanda Oliveira. "Signage always poses a code enforcement challenge, but it certainly increases during election years."
Under Bothell Municipal Code Section 12.22.098(B)(2), all off-premises campaign signs shall be removed 10 days after the election to which they pertain.
