Arts Onstage presents 'Festival of Lessons and Carols'

DUVALL - Arts Onstage presents the Northwest Boychoir and Vocalpoint! Seattle, performing the Festival of Lessons and Carols at the Cedarcrest Performing Arts Center on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m.
Patterned after the Christmas Eve observance at King's College in Cambridge, England, the Festival has become an annual holiday tradition for thousands of families in the Puget Sound region. This classical performance consists of nine readings describing the nativity, each followed by a traditional holiday carol performed by the choirs and a congregational carol sung by the choirs and the audience.
The Northwest Boychoir features the voices of 35 young members accompanied by its affiliate, Vocalpoint! Seattle, a high school age ensemble of 40 young men and women. Officially designated the "Singing Ambassadors" of Washington state by Governor Gary Locke, the Northwest Boychoir is committed to helping young people discover the challenges and joys of music through its year-round music education program.
Tickets to the Festival of Lessons and Carols are available at Pumps & Grinds, Gardens & SunSpaces and Duvall Books in the Main Street shopping district of Duvall, or at Simply Grand on SR-203 in Carnation. The box office opens one hour prior to the performance for day-of-show sales. Ticket prices are $9/adults, $6/students and seniors and free (ticket required) for children under five.
