WHS grad named Eagle Scout
Aaron Allen, son of Timothy and Tracy Allen of Woodinville and a 2000 Woodinville High School graduate, received the rank of Eagle Scout Oct. 21.
For his Eagle project, Allen built a cross for the Bear Creek United Methodist Church.
The cross was made from a piece of a black locust that was cut down from the site on which the church was built.
With an artist's design provided by the church, Allen worked 130 hours to complete the project.
Allen started in scouts 12 years ago as a Tiger Cub and continued on to achieve the Eagle Scout rank. Only four percent of boys who start scouts achieve that rank.
Allen graduated from WHS in 2000 and now attends Seattle Pacific University.
