Verizon adopts family for holidays
The Woodinville Verizon Phonemart has adopted a family for the holiday season and is asking community members to donate gifts for a five-person family including three young boys, ages 5, 4 and 2.
A Giving Tree has been set up inside to the store for wrapped gifts through Dec. 20.
Suggestions for gifts include: for the parents ‹ phonecards, gas vouchers, watch, slippers, gloves, stamps, calendar, holiday ornaments; for the children ‹ books, cars, trucks, balls, educational games, sweatshirts, jackets, videos; for the family ‹ blankets, comforters, pillows, batteries, towels, dictionary, umbrellas, first aid kit. Gift certificates are also a great idea.
Food baskets for holiday meals would also be appreciated as would necessities like laundry/dishwashing soap, bandaids, toothpaste, toothbrushes and shampoo.
