Local boy scouts give back to Valley community

Flyers went out through the Duvall/Carnation area Nov. 11 and 12 from three cub scout packs and three Boy Scout troops for Scout Food Drive 2000 to collect food for Hopelink. Hopelink was formerly Sno-Valley Multi-Service Center, and distributes food to Valley families.
Bags of food were picked up Saturday, Nov. 18, starting at 9 a.m., and delivered by the carload to Hopelink by noon.
Comprised of first to fifth graders, the three cub scout packs have about 55 boys per pack. They are pack 569 of Duvall, 568 of Stillwater and pack 411 of Carnation.
The Boy Scout troops include Troop 745 of Duvall, Troop 411 of Carnation, and Troop 533 of Carnation.
The Scout Food Drive 2000 is a Valley-organized drive, and not a Boy Scouts of America function.
