Betty Lynn Brown

* Betty Brown, 80, a retired Assembly of God minister, died in her sleep Nov. 6 in Ellijay, Ga.
   Betty was born April 10, 1920, in Denver, Colo. She lived in Marina, Calif. for many years while she was serving in the Marina Assembly of God church. She also spent time as the secretary of the Peninsula Christian Church in Pacific Grove, Calif.
   Betty was involved in mission work, spending time in Nigeria, Haiti and Samoa where she taught piano and theology.
   She was planning a missionary trip to Ghana in March with her son, Jerald. She also enjoyed crocheting, playing the piano, gardening and word games.
   Betty is survived by her sons David of Carmel Valley, Calif., Jerald of Jasper, Ga., and Glenn of San Jose, Calif.; her daughter Judy Stevens of Woodinville; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
   The family suggests that as a tribute to Betty's love of missions, donations toward a memorial building in Ghana be sent to His House Christian Fellowship, PO Box 1422, Ellijay, GA 30540.
