Julia Child Marathon

Endearing, outspoken, vibrant and irresistible, Julia Child has had a major influence on eating and cooking habits for almost four decades. Saturday, Dec. 16, the famed chef visits the KCTS studio to host an afternoon of special KCTS Kitchen programming.
The afternoon kicks off at 1:30 p.m. with four episodes from Julia's popular, award-winning series with Jacques Pepin, Julia and Jacques: Cooking at Home.
Good friends Julia and Jacques team up in Julia's legendary home kitchen to demonstrate recipes for dishes that are deliciously rich in flavor and visually appealing, yet surprisingly unfussy and easy to prepare. The two legendary cooks play off one another, joking good-naturedly and bantering over kitchen techniques - demonstrating that cooking is deeply personal and there's more than one way to get great results.
At 4 p.m. viewers are treated to Julia's latest special, Julia Child's Kitchen Wisdom, which includes moments from her most memorable television appearances, from the first, long-lost episode of The French Chef to the priceless cheeseburger chowdown from Julia and Jacques: Cooking at Home. The special will also feature Emeril Lagasse, Alice Waters, Martha Stewart, Thomas Keller, Jacques Pepin, Jasper White and Charlie Gibson, who reminisce and pay tribute to this founding mother of the American cooking revolution. At approximately 6:05 p.m., KCTS will air one more episode from Julia and Jacques: Cooking at Home to round out the afternoon of culinary fun.
