Parents stay free near Seattle
The Snohomish County Washington Tourism Bureau and twelve area hotels have initiated an online discount program valid from Dec. 8, 2000 to May 31, 2001. Reservations are just a click away at www.ParentsStayFree.com. It's not unusual for children up to the age of 18 to stay free in their parent's room, but Snohomish County hotels go one better.
Parents (of any age) are invited to stay free in the same room with paying children. Adults or kids can book online and save up to 40 percent on accommodations north of Seattle in Edmonds, Everett, Lynnwood, Marysville, Arlington, Mukilteo and Snohomish.
Amtrak is offering a discount on its Cascades route between Eugene, Oregon and Vancouver, B.C. If passengers buy one Amtrak ticket, a companion rides free.
