Stanley John Szymanski

Stanley John Szymanski of Woodinville died Dec. 13, at his home in Woodinville. He was 60 years of age.
   Born Dec. 31, 1939, in Woonsocket, R.I., he graduated from Boston University and was employed at Boeing as an aeronautical engineer for 23 years before he retired in 1996.
   He lived in Woodinville for 33 years, having moved to the West Coast from Connecticut. He was a man who lived his life to the fullest.
   He was an outdoorsman who was an avid flyer since he was 16 years old; a hang glider; a hiker and mountain climber who climbed to the summit of Mt. Rainier; a skier; and a champion ax thrower. He loved sailing and had boated in the Bahamas. To Stan every day was a gift.
   He and a partner opened a real estate office in Bellevue named East Valley Properties which later became Properties East.
   He was also a member of Living Word Family Church of Woodinville.
   He is survived by his wife, Joanne F. Szymanski of Woodinville; two daughters, Kim J. Pedroza of Mt. Vernon and Chandell Withum of Renton; one son, Richard Fuqua of Mill Creek; one brother, William S. Szymanski of Providence, R.I., and four grandchildren.
   A memorial service will be held at noon, Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Chapel of the Resurrection in Bothell.
