Recycle your tree

Christmas Tree-cycling for the Duvall and Carnation areas will be Saturday, Jan. 6. Local Scouts have delivered flyers in the neighborhoods where they will collect trees as a fund-raiser.They will start collecting trees at 9 a.m. and would appreciate a donation of $5 or more.
   The funds raised will be divided among the following: Cub Scout Packs #411, 568 and 569 and Boy Scout Troops #411, 533 and 745.
   Tree-cycling is for Christmas trees only. Please no wreaths, garlands, artificial trees or flocked trees. Remove all ornaments, hooks, tinsel and stands.
   Those who did not receive a flyer at their home from the Scouts can drop off their tree at Duvall's Taylor Landing Park by 12 noon, or at Carnation Tree Farm by 1 p.m., Jan. 6.
   King County Tree-cycling will be open Dec. 27-31 and Jan. 3-7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dropsites include: Rainier Wood Recyclers in Fall City, Cedar Falls Dropbox at North Bend and Sears 148th in Redmond.
