Holiday angels bring mail to Woodinville residents
by Becky Nixon
The holiday season brings many acts of kindness, and for a Woodinville family a helping hand by Woodinville Fire Department employees made the holiday season brighter.
The King County Sheriff's office dispatch received a call from a resident reporting their mail box had been hit, and the mailbox and post were left lying in the road, forcing the family to walk to the post office every day for mail. Dispatch contacted the Woodinville Fire Department for a little benevolent help.
Woodinville Fire Department contacted Bothell Home Depot whose employee Steven Otto Ream helped by donating all materials including a post, mailbox, and concrete. Then Woodinville Fire Department employees Dave Leggett and Tad Wineman resurrected a new mailbox just in time for the family to receive their holiday cards and letters.
A bell chimed, and somewhere an angel got its wings.
