Callon resigns post, Board to name new commissioner
WOODINVILLE - Commissioner David Callon resigned his position as Fire Commissioner with Woodinville Fire & Life Safety District.
Commissioner Callon served with the Fire District for five years as a volunteer firefighter and five years as a fire commissioner.
Callon's resignation was due to his move to the state of Oregon.
The Board of Fire Commissioners of Woodinville Fire & Life Safety District will appoint an individual to fill the one-year unexpired term of Commissioner Callon.
The individual appointed must comply with Public Disclosure Financial Reporting, must run in the November election for the unexpired term and may run for election for a six-year term in November 2001.
Any citizen that resides within the Fire District, is a registered voter, and at least 18 years of age or older may apply.
Those interested in filling this position may submit a letter of interest and a resume to the Board of Fire Commissioners at 19900 - 144th Ave. NE, Woodinville, WA 98072 by Monday, Jan. 22, at 5 p.m.
The Board of Commissioners will review the letters and resumes of the applicants. A questionnaire will be sent to a selected number of the applicants from whom a final selection will be made.
The applicants may speak to the Board regarding their interest and qualifications at the regular Board meetings held the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m.
The Board intends to select an individual to fill the vacant position at its meeting on Tuesday, March 6.
