Search continues for slayer of real estate agent
WOODINVILLE - King County Sheriff's detectives continue to look for the killer of Mike Emert, 40, an Eastside real estate agent, found dead in a Woodinville home Jan. 4.
Detectives have questioned Jeffrey J. Solo, 62, of Seattle who was sought following the murder as a "person of interest. "
He had been described as a man who walked with a limp and used a cane.
"That person is still just a person of interest, not a suspect," said King County Sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart.
Investigators revealed last week for the first time that personal jewelry including a watch and wedding ring was missing from Emert's body. The watch is a gold and silver Breitling, and the gold wedding band contains three diamonds.
The SUV owned by Emert was found in a parking lot in Kirkland.
Emert's body was discovered in a Woodinville residence that had been listed for sale.
The owner of the home found Emert dead of what the Medical Examiner's Office later described as an apparent "sharp force injury." The owner did not know the victim.
"We are continuing to investigate and perform background work on the entire case," said Urquhart.
