'Make the Connection' with the city Jan 17
City Councilmember Gareth Grube and City Manager Pete Rose will be at the Woodinville Plaza Starbucks, 14015 NE Woodinville-Duvall Road, from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, to discuss with the community the effort underway to update the City's Comprehensive Plan.
"Make the Connection" is a city outreach program, launched in 1999, that allows community members to converse with city councilmembers and the city manager on just about everything.
The city is embarking on its mandated updates to the Comprehensive Plan. The plan guides the growth of Woodinville for the next 20 years through various goals within "elements" - or chapters - of the plan. Such "elements" that be will revised include transportation, environment, capital facilities, housing, human services, economic development, community design, parks, recreation and open space. The Planning Commission is seeking community members to serve on advisory panels to help update the plan.
