Gladys Dorothy McCloud

Gladys McCloud, 95, of Woodinville, was born Feb. 13, 1905, in Florence, Wis., and passed away Wednesday, Jan.17, at Lake View Gardens in Kirkland.
   She is survived by her son Alan McCloud of Woodinville; brother Arthur Miller of Rainier, Ore.; two grandchildren and two-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, William I. McCloud.
   Gladys worked and retired as a secretary for the U.S. Navy.
   She was a longtime member of Cottage Lake United Presbyterian Church, as well as the Chemeketans. She loved hiking, horseback riding, gardening and also played the organ.
   Her passion for hiking took her to the summit of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, Mt. Jefferson, Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood.
   Gladys liked to help people and was very personable, outgoing and likeable. She was admired by many people and had many friends.
   A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, at Bear Creek Community Church, 18931 NE 143rd St. Woodinville (just off of Avondale Rd.).
