Riverview District asks community for input on superintendent candidates

The candidates for superintendent of Riverview School District have been selected.
A search committee of 18 citizens, students and staff, after meeting for four months, has selected the top candidates and presented their names to the school board for consideration.
The candidates will be in the district on Feb. 7 and 8. During that time, they will be visiting schools and will be interviewed by the board in open public meetings. Community members may also meet them at a Candidates Night on Feb. 8, 6-9 p.m., in the Cedarcrest High School Learning Resource Center.
Each candidate will be introduced, make a short statement and answer questions. There will be separate sessions lasting about one hour for each.
Interviews will be in the board room at the district offices on Feb. 7, 1-3:30 p.m., and Feb. 8, 9-11:30 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m. The community is invited to attend. If there is time at the end, questions of the candidates will be allowed.
Final selection will be made on the interviews and responses received from the meetings as well as extensive reference checking.
