Songs of Love for Valentine's Day

DUVALL - Calling all sweethearts. The Duvall Arts Commission invites you to romance your special someone when soprano Awilda Verdejo performs an evening of love songs from around the world at the Cedarcrest Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 7:30 p.m.
In this Valentine's Day tribute, the Arts Onstage performing arts series presents Verdejo's exploration of the common thread of love that people from all cultures honor through their music.
From Cuba to France, from Germany and Italy to the United States, the audience is taken on a romantic musical odyssey. Through the transforming power of her voice, Verdejo reconnects us with ourselves and with one another.
Duvall audiences were awed by Verdejo's moving performance of black spiritual music when she appeared here last year. People said that she "made the Cedarcrest theatre sound like Carnegie Hall."
Complimentary chocolates and flowers make it the perfect event for sweethearts of all ages. This performance is made possible through the generous support of the King County Performance Network.
Tickets to Verdejo's Amor are available at Pumps and Grinds, Gardens & Sunspaces, and Duvall Books in Duvall or at Simply Grand in Carnation.
