FBLA students win awards

Woodinville High School's FBLA club (Future Business Leaders of America) recently finished a successful competition at the regional level.
   Out of the 26 students attending the conference, 18 received awards. These students competed in a wide variety of business related events giving the students a chance to show off their skills.
   The following students won awards: David Cohen (Accounting II-1st place); Adam Jackson (Business Law-4th place); Alex Hines and Anna Holm (Business Graphics-4th place); Kevin Murphey (Business Math-4th place); Heidi Cope (Business Procedures-3rd place); Cameron Scodeller (Computer Applications-3rd place); James Dooley and Katie Rivard (Computer Concepts-1st and 2nd place); Candace Toth, Adam Jackson (Desktop Publishing-1st place); Justin Thomason and Bryson Baily (Desktop Publishing-4th place); Nick Robinson, Lydia Zorich and Cameron Scodeller (Entrepreneurship-1st place); Anna Holm (Future Business Leader-5th place); Candace Toth (Impromptu Speaking-1st place); James Dooley and Katie Rivard (Information Processing Concepts-1st and 3rd place); Krystal Davis, Anna Holm and Kristina Hirsheimer (Public Speaking-1st, 2nd and 3rd place).
   Along with competing in different business topics FBLA has participated in many community service events such as collecting canned foods for the Northshore Multi-Service Center. They have also have raised money for March of Dimes and sponsored a school dance.
   The group is currently planning "Race for the Bunny Suit," an event in which students will donate money to a teacher's name. That teacher will have to wear a bunny suit around school for a day.
