Chamber Music Program begins
Music Works Northwest, a nonprofit music education organization is beginning a Community Chamber Music Program for amateur musicians of all ages and abilities to play in trios, quartets or quintets, receive weekly coachings and give performances.
Music Works will place interested applicants in small ensembles for its 10-week terms.
The spring term begins March 26. People of all ages, instruments and abilities are welcome, and Music Works hopes to build cross-generational ensembles.
Seniors are especially encouraged to apply, and Music Works offers a discount for coachings given during the day. Music will be chosen that is appropriate for the ensemble, but special emphasis will be made on classical masterpieces from composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, and the twentieth-century master composers.
Music Works is located at 14360 SE Eastgate Way, Suite 102, in Bellevue or on the Web at www.musicworksnw.org.
