New volunteers for Bothell Fire, E.M.S.
As of Feb. 1 the City of Bothell Fire and E.M.S. (Emergency Medical Services) welcomed five new members to its volunteer program, bringing the total number of volunteers to 12. The new volunteers are Christopher Eaton, Keith Allen, John Burrow, Kirsten Clemens and Catherine Browning.
Volunteer support personnel will participate in the emergency operations of the department through fulfilling support service roles at emergency scenes. Support roles include assisting the incident commander, staffing rehabilitation stations, staging areas, air fill stations, and participating in community education events.
In addition to being trained EMTs, volunteers will be focusing on restoration.Also, the volunteer staff will focus on and help with restoring the affected citizens life back to normal as quickly as possible.
