Get fit at King County pool exercise classes

King County swimming pools offer a variety of water exercise classes.
Working out in water is great cardiovascular exercise, and it's very low impact due to the buoyancy of the water. In addition, the resistance of the water helps build strength. People who are recovering from physical injuries can especially benefit from the water workouts.
Water exercise classes at King County pools can accommodate all levels of fitness, from beginners to advanced. Most classes last 60 minutes and cover nearly all fitness needs. Classes typically consist of 10-15 minutes of warm-up and stretching, 25-35 minutes of aerobic conditioning, and 15-20 minutes of strength specific exercise.
Water exercise classes are held Monday-Friday at various times.
The cost for most one-hour classes is $4-$5 per hour - $2.80 for senior citizens. King County pools offering water exercise classes include:
   Northshore Pool, 9815 NE 188th Street, Bothell, (206) 296-4333; Redmond Pool, 17535 NE 104th Street, Redmond, (206) 296-2961.
