Woodinville High School invites adults to attend "An Evening for our Kids" Wednesday, March 7, at the school.

*The presentation will cover drugs, alcohol and over-the- counter medications that are being used in alarming numbers by children.
  

Parenting class announced

*Parenting with Love and Logic, a four-week parenting series, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays, March 8, 15, 22 and 29, at First Baptist Church in Bothell.
  

Learn birding basics at Marymoor Park

*Learn the basic birds of this area at Marymoor Regional Park from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, and from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 17.
  

Grange presents phonics game to school

*The Sammamish Valley Grange recently presented Woodin Elementary School with a phonics game that is to be used in first through third grades.
  

UW Bothell chancellor receives Giants in Science Award

*Dr. Warren W. Buck, Chancellor of the University of Washington, Bothell has been named a recipient of the Quality Education for Minorities (QEM) Mathematics, Science and Engineering (MSE) Network 2001 Giants in Science Award.
