Inglemoor High student to be featured soloist

Stuart Brewster, principal cellist of the highest division of the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra, will be one of the featured solists in the upcoming Showcase Concert of the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at the Eastlake Performing Arts Center, 400 228th Ave. NE in Redmond.
Brewster, a senior at Inglemoor High School, has been playing cello since childood.
He will play his rendition of the second movement of the "Haydn Cello Concerto in C," with the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra.
The March Showcase Concert of the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra traditionally displays the talents of some of the brightest stars of the Bellevue Youth Symphony membership. It gives these young musicians a chance to perform a solo work with full orchestral accompaniment.
The concert also provides the opportunity for the young musicians to experience everything from the terror of pre-concert solo jitters to the glory of being accompanied by a full orchestra and the appreciation of audience applause.
Tickets are $6 adult, $4 students and seniors and are available at the door or in advance from the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra office, (425) 821-9880.
Or check out the Web site at: www.byso.org for more information about the orchestra and concert.
