Police Beat

Feb. 23: At around 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 20 a homeowner in the 15300 block of Northeast 177th Drive heard a noise near the end of his driveway. He went out to investigate and saw a vehicle (no description) drive away from the end of the driveway. The man walked to the end of his driveway and found that his brass and decorative light post had been broken.
The next day the man walked around his neighborhood and found two other light posts broken at nearby houses. The man waited until Feb. 23 to report the incident due to the minor nature of the vandalism.
As an officer was writing out his report, another neighbor approached him to announce that his lamps had been broken also. There were no witnesses and no further suspect information.
Feb. 22: At 2 p.m. a person reported a theft of music CDs from his car parked in the 16200 block of the Woodinville-Redmond Road.
His car was in a parking lot from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. the day previous. While he was driving home that day he noticed his CD case was missing. The man had been doing some work on his car and thought perhaps he had taken the case out and left it at home. The case was not found at home. He did notice that weatherstrip on the passenger's door was cracked.
He thinks someone used a jimmy lock set to get into the car. He is the only one with keys to the car, and he knows of no one who would steal from him. Nothing else was taken. No suspect information.
