Rainy Pass will play original bluegrass music at the Maltby Bluegrass Concert.

Maltby Bluegrass Concert

The 7th annual Maltby Bluegrass Concert, Auction and Jam will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, at the Maltby Community Club, 206th St. SE and 87th Ave. SE in Maltby. The family event features foot stompin' bluegrass music from some of the hottest bands around, informal silent and live auctions, friendly old-time country atmosphere and time for pickin' and jammin' before and after the concert.
The event is the main source of funds for the Maltby Community Club, a non-profit organization that is home to scout troops, 4-H, a community forum, martial arts training and the monthly Maltby bluegrass jam (the largest of its kind in the Northwest), and a church congregation.
Performing this year will be Seattle and Maltby-based Rainy Pass, The Knott Bros. and The Ohop Valley Boys.
Jamming (with purchase of concert ticket) begins at 7 p.m. Concert and auctions begin at 10:30 p.m. with open jamming to follow. Tickets are available in advance or at the door: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors 65+ and youth 12-18, and free for children under 12. Tickets and parking are limited so be sure to get there early. For tickets, directions or information, call Jan Jones at (360) 568-3685 or Trisha Tubbs at (425) 481-7293.
