Community Center operations begin

The former City Hall building has a new name - Woodinville Community Center. The building, located at 13203 NE 175th Street, will begin providing recreation services, administration, registration and programs from this site.
Other services available from staff at this location include special event management, city parks and facilities reservations and community information.
Community Center hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
To contact staff about upcoming programs and events, call (425) 398-9327.
Registration for recreation classes will be accepted only at the Community Center (not City Hall).
"So many people identify with this building. We are pleased to continue with its use as a community center," notes Parks and Recreation Director Lane Youngblood. "The future of the building and surrounding property present some exciting opportunities for the community."
The Community Center will undergo some slight improvements over the spring and summer months to prepare for programs and classes to be offered in the fall.
Use of the Sorenson gym and old City Council chambers will be more available to the department for programming purposes beginning in April.
The Woodinville Chamber of Commerce business office will remain in the building.
