Dear Bothell citizens,
From 1987 to February of this year, the City of Bothell Police Department has been housed in leased office space at the North Creek Business Park. Prior to this, the department was located in the old Post Office Building across the street from City Hall. The old building's foundation began to collapse causing the city to condemn it. In 1997, voters approved a bond measure to build a new police station. The new Public Safety Facility has been under construction for the past year and a half and is now complete.
On behalf of the men and women of the Bothell Police Department, we want to thank you, the community, for your generous support in making this new "police station" a reality.
The Bothell Police Department has enjoyed great community support throughout the years. We all benefit from the strong community policing partnership that bonds the Police Department and the citizens of Bothell together. This new Public Safety Facility is a reflection of the proactive partnership and support that exists between the police and community.
Bothell's new Public Safety Facility is not simply a brick building to house the Police Department, but a symbol of safety and security.
It reflects steadfast service and guardianship to everyone who lives, works, visits or travels through the city of Bothell.
Please stop by and visit the new Public Safety Facility during its Grand Opening event on Saturday, April 7 beginning at 10 a.m. Public tours of the facility will be given during the grand opening. We are located in downtown Bothell adjacent to City Hall.
