Little League kickoff celebration at TMS offers games and fun for everyone
The "First Annual Grand Slam Jam," Sno-Valley North Little League's spring kickoff celebration, is scheduled for Saturday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Tolt Middle School baseball fields.
The community is invited to attend. Sno-Valley North Little League (SVNLL) is planning a variety of events, booths and games, including such activities as a cake walk, fishing booth, ring toss, dart throw, basketball throw, ball roll, face painting, inflatable slides, speed pitch, dunk tank, etc., and, of course, a home run hitting contest. A raffle/silent auction will also be held.
There will be a full concessions stand and an espresso cart.
Based on age group and interest level, kids and adults will have an opportunity to purchase any of four ticket packages: The Single, The Double, The Triple and the Home Run. For participating in the events, kids will get a certain number of tickets which will be redeemable for a variety of different prizes.
SVNLL teams will be wearing new uniforms this year, and the old ones will be sold at the Grand Slam Jam. It will also be picture day for all 43 teams. Also, as part of the event, the Cedarcrest High School baseball team will play at 2 p.m. on the big diamond.
