Accounting and Taxes by Peggy opens in Carnation

Peggy Poehlein, a longtime Carnation resident, has opened a new accounting service for individuals and small business owners in the Lower Snoqualmie Valley.
Poehlein moved to the Valley from Iowa over 21 years ago. Her first position in Washington was as director of the Sno-Valley Multi-Age Center in Carnation. Through that experience she became acquainted with many of the families and individuals in the Valley, and grew to appreciate the unique qualities of life here.
Her experience includes working as an escrow officer, helping many Eastside residents with closings of their real estate purchases, sales and refinances. She also worked for many years in the construction industry, doing accounting for both large and small real estate developers, builders and sub contractors.
Combined with her management skills in non-profit agencies, she feels these experiences will allow her to apply her expertise and use her background in helping businesses in the Valley with their accounting, organization and planning needs.
In setting up her computer system several years ago, Poehlein looked ahead at plans for the business and took courses to update, upgrade and review, including Federal Income Taxes, Quickbooks, Excel, Word, non-profit and for-profit accounting courses and business entrepreneurship. She offers individual service and attention to small business owners who often need assistance after 5 p.m. and on weekends.
