Register for Girl Scout Day Camp April 5

The Girl Scouts of Woodinville will hold their annual Day Camp from July 23-27 at Tolt-McDonald Park in Carnation.
   The campers learn about knot tying, fire building and safety, cooking skills, knife safety, appreciation of nature and other outdoor skills. The girls will also participate in songs, games, skits, flag ceremonies and learn to accomplish many tasks while working in a group.
   Girl Scouts that will be entering 7th through 12th grades in the fall can participate in the camp as program aides.
   Registration will be held at Woodinville High School from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 5.
   A parent or legal guardian is required to be at the registration to complete and sign the registration forms.
   If a camper wants to have a friend be a buddy at camp, the parents for both of those girls should register them at the same time and make the buddy request. Fees: (Grades K-6th Girl Scouts: $75; Non-Girl Scouts $82; (Grades 7th-12th) Program Aides taking their training at camp this year $35; Trained Program Aides $25.
   Opportunity funds are available for families not able to afford the camp fees at this time.
   Full-time volunteers for the camp are needed. They receive reduced rates for their children and special units are available for preschoolers and boys.
