Youth-friendly businesses receive awards

When a group of local teenagers first got together to talk about what they needed in the way of recreational facilities in the Lower Valley, they decided their first goal was to have a skateboard park. It took over three years of effort, but now the facility is on its way to reality in the town of Carnation.

UVALL SPROUTS Children's Theatre, a division of the SecondStory Repertory, brings the magical tale, "Rumpelstiltskin" to the Cedarcrest Performing Arts Center as the final presentation in the 2000-2001 Arts Onstage season.

Duvall Days Country Living Festival will be held this year on June 9. The venue, as well as the date, are different this year.
