Spring Waterwise Garden Open House

WOODINVILLE - In celebration of Earth Day, Woodinville Water District and Northshore Utility District will present their Spring Waterwise Garden Open House from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, at Woodmoor Elementary School, 12225 160th NE in Bothell.
   Four free workshops will be offered:
   Drought Tolerant Landscaping Practices (9:30-10:15 a.m.) by Ladd Smith, co-owner of "In Harmony";
   Home Composting Made Easy (10:30-11:15 a.m.) by Paul Martin, master recycler composter;
   Turn Your Landscape Into a Native Wildflower Meadow (11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.) by Brett Johnson from "Green Man Gardens";
   The Health Waterwise Lawn (12:30-1:15 p.m.) by Dr. Gwen Stahnke, WSU turfgrass scientist.
   Other events will include a native plant sale, kids' activities, mulching lawn mower demonstrations (9:30-11:30 a.m.) and composting and worm bin demos.
