Woodinville High science team places 4th in State Olympiad

Woodinville High School took fourth place at the State Olympiad competition held April 7 at Eastern Washington University.
   Twenty-three teams which had qualified for state (out of 80 teams in the regionals) competed for honors.State champ was Katie Rivard in "The Wright Stuff" - an airplane flight contest.
   Other WHS science team members included Yong-Hwe Lee - 3rd Cell Bio, 3rd Chem Lab; Greg Davis - 2nd Data Gathering; Andy Fraser - 4th Bottle Rocket; Rishelle Gifford, Evan Newton - 4th Bottle Rocket; Simon Bennett - 2nd Data Gathering, 3rd Amphibious Reptiles; Katie Rivard - 1st Ultra-light Airplane, 3rd Chem Lab; Zack Spencer - 3rd Science Clue; Diedra Penner, Nina Yazvanko - 3rd Cell Bio; Bryan Cattle - 3rd Science Clue; Loren Saunders, Jay Strode - 2nd Dynamic Planet, 3rd Amphibious Reptiles; Jeff Stanislawski - 2nd Dynamic Plane; colin McClure.
   The team is coached by Larry Gulberg who was assisted by Marcel Rivard, Bob Spencer, Jeff McClure and John Fraser.
