Jubilee Farm hosts May Day and Earth Day celebration

Carnation's Jubilee Farm will celebrate the spring planting season on Saturday, April 28 with a day of free activities for everyone in the family.
Farm tours, hayrides, games (ever shucked a dried bean?) and a children's Maypole dance will be featured. Families can meet chickens, goats, Abby (the farm's Jersey cow), and several baby animals.
Of special interest will be a Northwest Draft Association "Plowing Bee" with demonstration teams of plow horses working a field.
Participants can even try their hand at this age-old skill. The Northwest Vintage Iron Club will also give antique tractor demonstrations and several local crafters will have displays on the barn porch.
The free May Day and Earth Day celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lunch offered by the Carnation Clippers 4-H Club. Proceeds will help support the 4-H club's activities.
Jubilee Farm is located at 229 West Snoqualmie River Road NE, Carnation. From Carnation, head south, cross the Tolt River Bridge, then turn right onto Tolt Hill Road, cross the bridge over the Snoqualmie River, then left onto West Snoqualmie River Road. The farm is two miles on the left.
